Cruise Express Boasts Australia’s Top Cruise Consultant &

Best Consumer promotion of the year!

Cruise Express Director Hardy Schneider has been named the best cruise consultant in Australia, with the nation’s top cruising body voting Hardy as ‘Australian Cruise Consultant of the Year’.

The International Cruise Council of Australasia (ICCA) named Hardy, who has been a travel agent for 21 years, as the best cruising agent in the land at its annual awards ceremony on January 31, 2009. Cruise Express also scored another major accolade at the ICCA awards for the best ‘Consumer Promotion of the Year’ for its successful Queen Victoria Mediterranean cruise promotion last year.

In 2004, Cruise Express was also named Cruise Agency of the Year in ICCA’s awards that year.

Hardy was hosting a Cruise Express group in South America and was unable to attend the black tie awards ceremony so fellow director, Megan Hill, accepted the award plus the cruise promotion prize.

On his return, Hardy said: “It’s a great honour to receive these awards. At Cruise Express, we love what we do. Our experienced and talented team delivers first class service and is dedicated to delivering to every customer the quality, best-value holiday they deserve. Many travel companies boast about good customer service but seriously underestimate how much time and effort this takes. We do make the time and effort to really look after our clients and we think these awards reflect this.”

Hardy Schneider moved to Australia from Germany in 1981 and in 1988 established a successful travel agency. He fell in love with cruising during his first cruise in 1996 and later that year established Cruise Express which was joined by fellow Directors Megan Hill and Lance Mumby in 2001. Mr Schneider is well known in the cruise industry and has travelled to Zimbabwe to help an orphanage that Cruise Express and its customers support with funds.
