Departs 20 November 2017 - 9 nights

Your holiday begins with four nights cruising the mighty Murray River. A coach will transfer you from Adelaide to
the historic river port of Mannum where you will board the PS Murray Princess. After settling in you might join fellow passengers on the top deck for a drink as the boat heads north to Blanchetown. Follow in the wake of great Australian pioneers as you cruise along the outback river highway. Experience the magic and majesty of the spectacular scenery from towering cliffs to expansive farmlands. Along the way see a great variety of Australian wildlife, including kangaroos and many of the 350 bird species that inhabit the riverlands. Other highlights will include a vineyard visit and cellar door wine tasting, a visit to a typical Australian farm, woolshed and wildlife shelter, an Aussie barbecue beside the river and an aboriginal archaeological site visit.

You'll then head back to Adelaide for two nights with time to soak up the culture, cuisine, galleries or beautiful beaches and to relax before a train trip of unimaginable proportions. Join the legendary Ghan for a journey deep into the heart of Australia. Regarded as one of the world's great train trips, The Ghan delivers so much more than an extended train ride. It promises access to parts of Australia no other holiday can come close to, two nights and three days via Alice Springs and Katherine, 2,979km coast to coast through the fiery red centre.

Enjoy the comfort and solitude of your private cabin, lose yourself in conversation with newfound travelling companions, or simply gaze out the window taking inspiration from the ever changing landscape. When the train stops along the way, the fun continues with complimentary off train experiences. At journeys end, a night in Darwin is a fitting end to your incredible Australian adventure.

The Murray Princess
The PS Murray Princess is a true inland paddlewheeler built for the Murray River, with a character and charm of yesteryear. It is the largest inland paddlewheeler in the southern hemisphere. Catering for just 120 passengers, she brings the unique advantages of small ship cruising to the remarkable setting of Australia’s outback.

Don't be fooled by most modern-day imitation paddlewheelers where the paddle is often on the side and just for show. The PS Murray Princess is an authentic paddlewheeler, propelled by its massive stern wheel. The onboard atmosphere is relaxed and informal in style. The lounge features a majestic view of the paddlewheel in action through a two storey viewing window. Upper and lower lounge areas are accessed by the classic brass and mahogany style spiral staircase.

The PS Murray Princess cruises between Mannum, Murray Bridge and Salter's Station along the Murray River. The wetlands in this area provide essential breeding and feeding habitats for many species of waterbirds, fish, invertebrates and plants, meaning that you'll see wonderful wildlife in this outback setting.
